Tara Cappel

At the suggestion of a close friend, about 2 years ago I took a trip to Isla Holbox with a relatively newly formed travel company called, For The Love Of Travel (@FTLOTravel). It still is to this day, one of the best trips I've ever taken. It was fun and relaxed but there was enough planned to make sure I got to experience some once in a lifetime moments—like swimming in a hidden cenote and having the best fish tacos of my life cooked over an open fire by the only family allowed to live on the island.

The mastermind behind this unforgettable experience is the owner and creator of For The Love Of Travel and today’s #PaideiaInspires, Tara Cappel.

Tara shared with us some of her insight into how focusing on her niche in the marketplace has allowed her business to flourish and given her a strong and engaged online community. “I think finding a niche and then facilitating the interconnectedness of that community is really important… So many in our online community have actually met in real life and go on these amazing adventures together, which really helps them bond and feel connected to the community in general.” Find out some of what Tara’s learned about building an online following and what she wishes she'd done sooner!
