Natasha Case

I'm so excited about today’s #PaideiaInspires. We had an opportunity to chat with Natasha Case, the Co-Founder of the female led and founded ice cream sensation, CoolHaus. Natasha shared how embracing the recession 10 years ago and fusing her love of architecture and ice cream helped her create a brand that continues to be innovative and is thriving, “the recession was just the greatest gift—when something like that comes in and appears as a major obstacle but then you realize it makes you take a chance on something you might not have taken in a more stable time. I think it’s so important to just own those moments and lean into them because as an entrepreneur you forever realize that things are going to present themselves as obstacles but really finding the solutions IS what makes something really great.”

Natasha also shared how social media has been so vital for the success of CoolHaus, “Social has always been huge for us. In the early days it was just about being an early adopter of Twitter and giving people a reason to follow us… I think it just set the tone of always being an early adopter, finding what the next platforms were and really trying to lead the conversation about where things were going. Not just responding to the trends but really trying to get ahead of things from the storytelling to the visuals, the strategy, the community management… So much changes so quickly with social that it just requires being elastic and being willing to evolve.”

Natasha also talked with us about the evolving look of the CoolHaus Instagram Feed, “I think now we're finding images that purposefully look like bad PhotoShop jobs… People want to see the toned down, it’s not a million filters and taken in a studio every time… But it’s kinda knowing when to create that very finished look for a brand and when to just be yourself.”
